This beautiful Turquoise specimen comes with a floating stone display case, a velvet carrying bag and a macramé necklace so it be kept close at all times.

The word Turquoise is derived from the French word pierre turquoise meaning “Turkish Stone”. This is due to the trade routes that reached Europe from mines that were located in Southeast Asia that went through Turkey in which merchants use to purchase the beautiful stone from Turkish markets. Turquoise beads date back to 5000 B.C. making it one of the longest used of all gemstones. The Egyptians were also known to mine Turquoise. Turquoise has also been used throughout history as jewelry, as well as amulets and the hilts of swords. About 1,000 years ago, Native American began to mine and fashion Turquoise. The highest quality Turquoise comes from Afghanistan, Iran, Southwestern United States, Tibet and Australia. It’s believed to be a stone for finding truth and wholeness. Its also believed to be a stone that aids in communication as well as manifestation. Its a stone that harmonizes with the throat and heart chakras.
