Moldavite is a member of the tektite group, a glassy mixture of aluminum oxide, silicon dioxide and other metal oxides. It’s has a hardness of about 6. The color of most Moldavite is deep forest green, though some are a paler green than others. Moldavite was formed when a large meteor crashed down in what is now the Bohemian plateau of the Czech Republic, around 14.8 million years ago.

Throughout history Moldavite has been regarded as a spiritual talisman. It’s effects have varied widely but most say that Moldavite accelerates the path of one’s personal evolution. It is believed that Moldavite can also activate any and all of the chakras. It’s a talisman of spiritual awakening and evolutionary growth.

There is a lot of fake moldavite about. Every piece here is Czech, listed by its own weight with its own photograph, so what you see is the stone that arrives. Will has been in this trade for eight years and buys from people he has known for years and at the shows in Tucson, the home of the largest gem and mineral show in the world.

Orders are packed and out within one day. United States shipping is free over 75 dollars and 8.99 below that. International shipping is 16 dollars for packages 8 ounces and under, and 33 dollars over. UPS or FedEx on request.
